Here are some photos from our family canoe trips in the BWCA from 1963 thru 1968. We took 4 or 5 trips in that time period all in the BWCA with loops from Moose Lake out through Knife and down to Ogishkemuncie, Little Saganaga, and down to the Kawishawi River then back to Lake One. Or through Sagus then Boulder and back to Lake One. They include my Grandparents, Mother and Father and a young Fishguts. Note the Old style tent! And canoe rests on the portages. This is the south end of Thomas Lake and we just sailed down the lake....note the whitecaps on the lake. My Grandfather portaging a canoe at 70. My Grandparents, note the sail in the canoe. I think it might rain! My Grandfather. i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb260/paddymeboy/Old%20Pictures/Image62.jpg On the way to North Wilder.[/img] My mother cooking....notice the cans...before the Bottle and Can Ban. A young Fishguts with some nice Northerns, Bear Lake, 1963. My mother and grandparents, 1963 Hourseshoe Lake in the late 60's
