How many members canoe the Boundary Waters or the Q with their wives/husbands?
Without the suggestion of my significant other, I likely would never have visited the Boundary Waters. Our first trip was four fantastic days.
I've gone with others while camping with the missus, but the trips where it is just her and I alone stand out more to me.
So who else spends their time in the Wilderness with their S.O.?

Well let’s just see here.
My idea of a nice sandy beach is a place to wade out in the water, take a drink and smell the fresh clean north woods air. Better half's idea is much more sand and more of a salty smell in the air.
My idea of the Hilton Hotel would be a beautiful island located on McEwen Lake. Better half's idea would be more of a suite floor high atop a beach in Florida.
My idea of a vacation meal to die for would be baked trout on an open fire with sauté onions, mushroom, and bacon. Better half's idea would be steak personally cooked by a private chef in the suite at the Hilton. Keep in mind we are talking two different Hilton's here.
So over all she said she would go, but as you can see conditions pre negotiated would require many, many more people to be involved. Especially the portaging part. Last time on vacation I had to tip 3 bellboys just to get everything to the room. Be damned if I was going to portage it myself.
Opps gota run someones coming. Now where was that Hilton link. ;D
