I really like my Pocket Rocket, but it really needs a windscreen! Being a cannister stove, I didn't want to use a regular windscreen. I'm thinking it would overheat the cannister and could make a big boom! I cut a piece of aluminum flashing to cover most of the burner, but left the backside open to let some of the heat out. I used it on my last trip and it worked very well.

That's a good idea I wish I had ever though of that. I aways seem to have rotten luck when I bring a stove, and the wind is one of those issues. I'll be adding one of those to my stove sometime soon.

Only bad thing is, you can only buy the flashing in like a 20ft roll. So you end up with enough to make a couple of hundred windscreens.
