Here are the pictures from a BWCA Trip my wife and I and dog Strider took in August 1975. We were outfitted by Bill Rom's Canoe Country Outfitters, and we had a tow down Moose Lake to the Ensign Portage. Our first camp was on Jordan Lake. You can see that tents have changed over the years, this was the regular tent provided by outfitters in 1975 and earlier. From Jordan we continued on through Ima, Hatchet, Thomas and camped on Frazier. We then portaged into one of my favorite lakes, Lake Sagus. This is a still morning on Sagus Lake August 1975.

Part 2 We stayed 2 nights on Sagus, this was before the Fire grates and potties were all installed in the BWCA so you could still camp anywhere.....like in Quetico today. After some good walleye dinners we were off to the east through Roe Lake and the difficult portages into Boulder Lake. We spent 2 nights on Boulder and caught lots of Northerns and caught up on our rest. Next we went down to Adams Lake and the Kawishawi River, we continued east to the end of the Kawishawi just below Kivaniva Lake. i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb260/paddymeboy/Old%20Pictures/Image39.jpg[/img] We had good fishing for Northerns just off our campsite at the eastern end of the Kawishawi. We had wolves howl outside our camp the last night we were here, the dog shivered and lay low!

Part 3 From the east end of the Kawishawi we headed west to Fishdance Lake We camped down the lake from the pictograph cliffs, and had fun catching Northerns. We also broke out the reflector oven and had some cornbread and brownies. From the Kawishawi we headed out to Lake one and had one more campsite on Lake 3. We had a wonderful trip and saw very few people until we reached Lake 3.
